Science citoyenne et participative

Scivil is a “knowledge centre” for Citizen Science established with the support of the Flemish government. It is conducting its second survey of the Citizen Science landscape in Belgium.

Any Belgian researcher involved in a Citizen/Participatory Science project can complete the current survey (± 5 minutes):

Survey

The aim is, of course, to ensure visibility in the presentation that will be published on the basis of this survey, with a potential impact on various stakeholders.

  • At European level, the dynamics developed in the Member States are helping to establish Citizen Science initiatives in the current discussions on the next European Research Area Agenda.
  • At Belgian level, this survey could bring together the contributions of the various regional entities.
  • Internally at ULiège, the approach could serve as inspiration for the Open Science roadmap, adopted for 2023-2028, which includes commitment #57: ‘identify actors and researchers at the University of Liège already involved in participatory science projects in order to foster open exchange at the institutional level’.
