Statista is updating its authentication model and will permanently discontinue IP address recognition in early 2026. To ensure uninterrupted access to the resource, ULiège Library and SEGI have implemented a new secure access via the SAML protocol, now required for all users.

What are the benefits for ULiège students and staff?
- Access to a personal account
Your institutional login automatically opens a Statista user space: you can save reports and data to your favourites, create folders, and easily retrieve your recent content. - No need for the VPN
Access works on campus or remotely, without a VPN. You only need your ULiège credentials. - More secure login
SAML authentication ensures enhanced access control, reducing the risk of impersonation or unauthorised access.
Why is Statista changing its authentication system?
Like other content providers, Statista is modernising its technologies and moving away from IP-based methods in favour of more robust and secure solutions to strengthen platform and data security, improve performance, and facilitate integration with institutional systems.
