New year, new look for the EBSCO search interface. Now cleaner and more accessible, this change was long-awaited by our users.
EBSCO carefully planned the transition to the new interface to minimise disruptions and ensure a smooth transition. You should not need to update links or make any changes yourself.
If you have a personal user account, this has been migrated and you can continue to access it in the same way.
While these changes should bring a host of functional and ergonomic improvements, users should be aware that some existing features will be impacted. The list of databases concerned is given below.
Impacted features
- Access to existing custom folders (My Custom): these are not migrated to the new interface. However, from April and until end of June 2025, users will be able to retrieve their old files if they wish (see how to proceed). (On average, less than 1% of Classic interface users created “Custom Folders” to organize their research.)
- Saved searches: saved searches in MyFolder are synced to the new interface. Those in custom folders are not.
- Search alerts and Publication alerts: are not migrated to the new interface and will need to be recreated.
