As part of the preparatory work for the Learning Center project, technical surveys will be conducted on Tuesday, September 9 in the A1 building.
On this occasion, the Philosophy and Communication and Sciences of Antiquity libraries will be closed all day.

NIH wants to cap publication fees for publicly funded research
On July 8, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced a proposed new policy aimed at capping the publication fees that scientific publishers can charge researchers funded by the NIH. This measure seeks to curb excessive profits made at the expense of the scientific community by major publishers, particularly through the use of "hybrid" journal models. The proposal reinforces the NIH's commitment to Open Science and aligns with their goal of promoting transparent and universally accessible research.
Cramming Period - Libraries & study rooms
From Monday July 28 to Friday August 29*, the "cramming period" policy will be applied to libraries and study rooms to enable you to study in the best possible conditions.
- During this period, study in the library is reserved for ULiège and CHU members due to the overcrowding. Your student card gives you access to our areas and services: remember to take it with you on every visit. You may be asked to show it at any time.
- You must reserve seats in some of our libraries (see below).
Electrical upgrades at the Polytech library
From June 30, to better meet your needs, we are undertaking electrical upgrades at the Polytech library: adding sockets and replacing lamps with LED lighting.
The library will remain open and all our services will be accessible, but some areas will be temporarily closed.s.

ULiège Library now offers a new tool to support your research: a Research Assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence and large language models.
Accessible as a new way to explore our catalogue, this Assistant allows you to ask research questions about academic topics in a natural and straightforward manner, just as you would with a colleague or a librarian.
