Libraries summer opening hours

The “Cramming period” policy will no longer apply from this Saturday, June 28, and some schedule adjustments are planned for this summer period.

The Sciences Library will have to extend its closure until September 14 due to the B6b interior renovation work.

Electrical upgrades at the Polytech library

From June 30, to better meet your needs, we are undertaking electrical upgrades at the Polytech library: adding sockets and replacing lamps with LED lighting.

The library will remain open and all our services will be accessible, but some areas will be temporarily closed.s.

New AI Research Assistant

ULiège Library now offers a new tool to support your research: a Research Assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence and large language models.

Accessible as a new way to explore our catalogue, this Assistant allows you to ask research questions about academic topics in a natural and straightforward manner, just as you would with a colleague or a librarian.

Test Emerald Insight

Test 7 Emerald Publishing collections until May 19

Emerald is giving us the opportunity to explore some of its content and test its ressources from 21 April to 19 May 2025. Discover 7 collections comprising over 190 eJournals in the fields of economics, finance and management.

A suscription to this service is currently considered. Given the cost of the resource, your feedback is important in helping us make the decision to subscribe these collection. You are therefore invited to complete a survey.

Cramming Period - Libraries & study rooms

From Tuesday April 22 to Saturday January 21*, the "cramming period" policy will be applied to libraries and study rooms to enable you to study in the best possible conditions.

  • During this period, study in the library is reserved for ULiège and CHU members due to the overcrowding. Your student card gives you access to our areas and services: remember to take it with you on every visit. You may be asked to show it at any time.
  • You must reserve seats in some of our libraries (see below).
Accès hors campus (VPN)

Important changes with the VPN

From April 1, 2025, for security reasons, VPN access for staff members will be with MFA (multi-factor) authentication only. Students are also invited to use MFA as well. 

Due to this change, the pre-configured VPN program "BIG-IP Edge Client" will no longer be supported. All staff, students and outsiders will have to switch to the "Web" VPN program.
